Revanth Reddy To Launch ₹1500 Crore Malkajgiri Development Projects
HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Sunday will launch the ₹1500 Crore Malkajgiri Development Projects, a comprehensive infrastructure and civic development package aimed at transforming one of the fastest-growing urban regions in the Hyderabad metropolitan area.
The projects will be launched at Uppal Bhagayath Layout Phase-3 and cover transportation infrastructure, digital governance, healthcare facilities and administrative development.

According to the local digital daily Hyderabad Mail, the initiative is expected to improve connectivity, strengthen public services and support long-term urban growth across Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation (MMC).
CURE-1 App Introduced for Seamless Citizen Services
One of the major highlights of the ₹1500 Crore Malkajgiri Development Projects was the launch of the CURE-1 mobile application.
The platform has been designed as a unified digital payment system that allows citizens to pay property taxes, electricity bills, water charges, traffic challans and other government-related fees through a single application.
The government plans to expand the platform further by integrating additional public services in the future.
Officials believe the app will simplify citizen interactions with government departments and improve the overall efficiency of service delivery.
Major Road Network Planned Around AOC Centre
A key infrastructure component announced under the ₹1500 Crore Malkajgiri Development Projects is the development of an alternative road network around the Army Ordnance Corps (AOC) Centre.
The project is intended to ease traffic congestion affecting thousands of commuters travelling through Secunderabad and adjoining areas.
The proposal includes multi-lane roads and an elevated corridor designed to provide alternative routes around the defence establishment.
Once completed, the project is expected to significantly reduce travel times and improve traffic flow across several important urban corridors.
Six-Lane Flyover to Improve Connectivity
The ₹1500 Crore Malkajgiri Development Projects also include the construction of a six-lane bi-directional flyover connecting TKR College Junction, Gayatri Nagar Junction and Manda Mallamma Junction.
The flyover is expected to reduce traffic bottlenecks at key intersections and improve connectivity for commuters travelling between residential and commercial areas within the region.
Urban planners view the project as an important step toward accommodating increasing vehicle movement in eastern Hyderabad.
MMC Headquarters to Get a Permanent Home
In a major administrative development, the government announced the construction of a dedicated headquarters for the newly formed Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation.
The new office complex will be built on a 10-acre site at Uppal Bhagayath Layout Phase-3.
The facility is expected to serve as the administrative nerve centre for the corporation and improve coordination among various civic departments.
The headquarters project is considered a significant milestone in strengthening local governance and enhancing public service delivery.
Foundation Stone Laid for 100-Bed Uppal Hospital
Healthcare infrastructure also received attention under the ₹1500 Crore Malkajgiri Development Projects.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy laid the foundation stone for a 100-bed area hospital in Uppal. The facility is expected to improve access to healthcare services for residents of Uppal and surrounding localities while reducing pressure on existing government hospitals.
The project reflects the government’s effort to balance infrastructure development with investments in social services.
Why These Projects Matter
Malkajgiri has emerged as one of the fastest-growing urban regions in Telangana due to its strategic location, residential expansion and proximity to Hyderabad’s economic centres.
However, rapid growth has also increased pressure on roads, drainage systems, healthcare facilities and civic infrastructure. The ₹1500 Crore Malkajgiri Development Projects aim to address these challenges through targeted investments in transportation, governance and public services.
The package is expected to benefit lakhs of residents while supporting future urban expansion.
Boost for Hyderabad’s Expanding Urban Corridor
The ₹1500 Crore Malkajgiri Development Projects form part of the Telangana government’s broader strategy to improve urban infrastructure and decentralise municipal administration.
With projects ranging from digital governance initiatives such as the CURE-1 app to major transportation and healthcare investments, the package represents a multi-sector approach to urban development.
Officials believe the initiatives will improve quality of life, support economic activity and strengthen Malkajgiri’s position as a key growth corridor within the Hyderabad metropolitan region.
Conclusion
The launch of the ₹1500 Crore Malkajgiri Development Projects marks a major step in the transformation of Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation.
From the CURE-1 citizen services platform and a new MMC headquarters to a six-lane flyover, alternative road network and modern hospital, the projects are aimed at addressing both current infrastructure challenges and future growth requirements.
As implementation progresses, the ₹1500 Crore Malkajgiri Development Projects are expected to play a crucial role in shaping the next phase of urban development in Hyderabad’s eastern and northeastern corridors.
