Jubilant Foodworks Limited (JFL), the company managing the Domino’s Pizza franchise in India, has launched its first Popeyes restaurant in Hyderabad, India.
The restaurant, which opened on 12 July 2023, is situated inside the Satyam Mall in Ameerpet.
The CEO and managing director of JFL, Sameer Khetarpal, expressed his joy at introducing Popeyes to Hyderabad, making it the fifth South Indian city to host the brand.
The enterprise intends to broaden the presence of its restaurant throughout South India.
He said, “Consumers in Hyderabad now have the opportunity to savor the distinct Cajun flavors offered by Popeyes, including our fried chicken, burger (sandwich) served in a brioche bun, and French fries.
This can all be experienced firsthand at our inaugural outlet in Asian Satyam Mall.” The CEO further took note of the phenomenal response from the public, as evidenced by the long queues outside the restaurant.
This feedback has encouraged the company to plan the launch of an additional 30-35 stores within the year.
In January 2022, JFL introduced the first Popeyes outlet in India, in Bengaluru. Following this, other outlets have been launched in various Indian cities including Chennai, Manipal, and Coimbatore.
The latest addition in Hyderabad further underscores JFL’s expansion plans in the country.
