According to KT Rama Rao, the Minister of Municipal Administration and Urban Development, the Airport Express spanning 31 kilometers is intended to cater not only to airport passengers but also aims to enhance transportation services for district employees and neighboring areas.
The Minister announced the official commencement of the newly established CREDAI Telangana office in the financial district on Thursday.
As a positive development, the Minister also shared that the cancellation of GO 111 will effectively contribute towards fostering growth in crucial sectors such as IT, life sciences, and manufacturing.
During the discussion about the city’s forthcoming developments, the minister revealed that Foxconn, a renowned manufacturing company, is in the process of establishing its manufacturing facility in Kongara Kalan.
This project is expected to be finished within a year. Additionally, the minister highlighted the significance of Pharma City, which will be located approximately 30 km south of Shamshabad airport.
This development will bring about the expansion and accessibility of the southern and southeastern areas of Hyderabad.
Moreover, in the eastern region of the city encompassing Kongara Kalan, Adibatla, and Ghatkesar, prominent companies operating in the electronics and aerospace sectors have already established their facilities, with plans of further expansion in the coming years. The expansion of the IT industry into the eastern areas has also been emphasized.
In relation to his recent meeting in New Delhi with several Union ministers, the minister noted that instead of 500 acres of land owned by the state government in Shamirpet, the Center has requested 150 acres of defense land.
Despite receiving verbal assurances for the past eight years, no tangible progress has been achieved thus far.
