The Mumbai police sources have reported that the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has warned them about the movement of a suspicious person in the capital city of Maharashtra.
Following this incident, the NIA notified Mumbai police, and various cities in Maharashtra were put on alert.
The email notification from the NIA identified the individual as Sarfaraz Memon and urged Mumbai police to be vigilant, as the person was deemed “dangerous” to India.
The NIA further disclosed that Memon, a resident of Madhya Pradesh, had received training in China, Hong Kong, and Pakistan.
The NIA also shared Memon’s identification details, including his Aadhaar card, driving license, and passport, with the Mumbai police via email.
Upon receipt of the email, the Mumbai police heightened their surveillance efforts, and they also informed the Indore police about the situation.
Earlier this month, the NIA received a threatening email from an unknown individual claiming to be a member of the Taliban and threatening to carry out a terror attack in Mumbai.
Last month, it has been reported that the Dhirubhai Ambani International School in Mumbai received a threat call from an anonymous caller who threatened to detonate the school.
Furthermore, in October last year, the HN Reliance Foundation Hospital received a threat call where the unknown caller threatened to blow up the hospital and issued death threats to the Ambani family.
