Cycle Tracks For Hyderabadis
Cycle Tracks of long distance are going to come up in Hyderabad as Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) plans to lay 90 km long cycle tracks for commuters in Hyderabad zones of the city.
Municipal authorities said on Friday that the infrastructure will be made for both permanent and temporary cycle tracks.
Nearly all of the future cycle tracks will have tarmac on either side, which will separate the bikes from the vehicles and increase safety.
Cycle Tracks Event
Recently, an event was organized by the Bicycle Mayor Of Hyderabad & HCR Team showing gratitude to the Government and GHMC for creating 21 km Cyclic Track and Bicycle lanes ( ORR CYCLING TRACK & BICYCLE LANES) for cycle commuters.

The GHMC will also build three temporary bike paths:
- A 6-km loop around KBR Park,
- A 6-km route from IKEA to Raidurg through Biodiversity, and
- A 10-km route from IDL Lake to JNTU, which includes a route from Rainbow Vista to IDL Lake.
- IKEA to Raidurg’s bicycle path will have a portion that is permanent and another that is temporary.
