Vivo is gearing up to launch its next-generation V70 series in India, comprising two new smartphones — the Vivo V70 and the more premium Vivo V70 Elite — marking a major step forward in the brand’s camera-centric mid-range lineup.
The India launch is expected around mid-February 2026, with sales likely to begin around February 16–19.
Both models will showcase a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and high peak brightness up to 5,000 nits, designed to deliver smooth visuals and excellent outdoor readability.
Photography remains a focal point for the series — Vivo has co-engineered the camera system with ZEISS optics, combining premium Sony sensors with Zeiss tuning to capture vibrant and detailed images.
The camera setup on both devices is expected to include:
- 50 MP ZEISS OIS main camera (Sony IMX766)
- 50 MP ZEISS Night Telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom (Sony IMX882)
- Zeiss ultra-wide camera
- 50 MP ZEISS front camera for high-resolution selfies.
Under the hood, the Vivo V70 Elite is confirmed to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, offering strong performance for multitasking, gaming, and camera processing.
The standard Vivo V70 is tipped to feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, providing capable performance for its segment. Both models pair with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage for fast responsiveness.
Software on both phones will run OriginOS 6 based on Android 16, bringing a refined user experience along with AI-powered photography enhancements such as AI Magic Weather, AI Holi Portrait (India-exclusive), and other intelligent imaging modes to elevate photo outcomes.
The phones also include a 6,500 mAh battery with 90 W fast charging support, IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance, and a flat metal frame design with vibrant colour options that range from Passion Red and Lemon Yellow for the V70 to Sand Beige and Authentic Black for the Elite variant.
While official pricing has not been announced, industry leaks suggest that the V70 series could be priced under ₹50,000, making it a competitive choice for Indian consumers seeking advanced camera features and premium performance in the mid-range segment.
As the launch approaches, expectations are high that Vivo’s V70 series will push mid-range smartphone photography forward, bringing flagship-inspired optics and intelligent imaging tools to a wider audience in India.
