BPCL Signed MoU with Trinity Cleantech to Build Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure In Uttar Pradesh
Bharath Petroleum Corporation Limited and Trinity Cleantech Private Limited (TCPL) located near Keyes High School, Secunderabad have joined forces to set up fast-charging stations for electric 2-wheelers and 3-wheelers in major cities of Uttar Pradesh.
The 3-year agreement, extendable for 2 more years, focuses on promoting sustainable mobility. TCPL will initially install charging stations in key cities, starting with Ayodhya.
The partnership aims to combat vehicular pollution by encouraging the adoption of electric vehicles.
The initiative includes the deployment of jointly branded DC fast chargers with cutting-edge technology, demonstrating BPCL’s commitment to a greener future.
This collaboration is all about encouraging people to switch to electric two-wheelers (e2Ws) and electric three-wheelers (e3Ws) by setting up special fast charging spots using direct current (DC) technology throughout the state.
BPCL and TCPL have officially agreed on a detailed plan, starting with three years and the possibility of extending it for up to two more years, depending on both parties’ agreement.
The initial step in this partnership involves Trinity Cleantech Private Limited (TCPL) installing charging stations at BPCL energy stations in Ayodhya.
This coincides with introducing of electric auto-rickshaws during the inauguration of a temple, an event attended by the Prime Minister of India.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by BPCL’s Chief General Manager (Marketing, Retail), Rahul Tandon, and TCPL’s CEO, Raj Kumar Medimi.
This signing ceremony was attended by BPCL’s Executive Director (in charge of Retail), Santosh Kumar, and TCPL’s Director, Surender Nath Mandem.
According to the agreement, Trinity Cleantech Private Limited (TCPL) will initially concentrate on cities like Kanpur, Lucknow, Ayodhya, Gorakhpur, Ghaziabad, Noida, Saharanpur, and Agra.
They will focus on establishing DC fast charging stations at BPCL outlets, ensuring compliance with rigorous safety standards and the norms set by the Petroleum & Explosives Safety Organization (PESO).
Raj Kumar Medimi emphasized the importance of the partnership, saying, “This marks a significant milestone for Trinity Cleantech Private Limited as we gain access to BPCL’s extensive network of petrol pumps throughout the country. This collaboration enables us to establish DC Fast Charging points.” he added.
The jointly branded DC fast chargers, capable of accommodating vehicles with voltages ranging from 20V to 120V and a current dispensing capacity of 100 Amps per hour, are designed to alleviate concerns about limited travel range.
This initiative aligns with BPCL’s dedication to promoting sustainable mobility and represents a crucial step in the ongoing effort to address vehicle-related pollution and enhance environmental conditions.
This collaboration not only signifies progress in the realm of electric mobility but also underscores BPCL’s commitment to fostering innovation and sustainable solutions for a greener future.
