AP’s Spl CS Poonam Malakondaiah Served High Court Notices Over MedTech Zone Irregularities

The Andhra Pradesh High Court has directed notices to be served to the Special Chief Secretary of the state, Poonam Malakondaiah (IAS: 1988: AP), concerning a case regarding alleged irregularities in the establishment of AP MedTech Zone in Visakhapatnam and the alleged misappropriation of funds from the National Health Mission.

In addition to Poonam Malakondaiah, notices were also issued to the Chief Executive Officer of AP MedTech Zone, Jitender Kumar Sharma, the Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh, the Medical and Health Department, and the Vigilance and Enforcement Department by the HC bench.

The HC bench has instructed Malakondaiah and the other involved parties to submit their counter affidavits within a span of three weeks.

The case has been scheduled for further proceedings on a subsequent date three weeks later.
