Larsen & Toubro Bags Lucrative Deals for Power Infrastructure in UAE and Kuwait
Larsen & Toubro (L&T) announced on Thursday that it has won significant contracts for its power and distribution projects in the Middle East. The main contracts were secured by the power transmission and distribution division of L&T Construction.
In simpler terms, L&T bagged big deals, valued between Rs 2,500 crore and Rs 5,000 crore, for its power and distribution work in the Middle East.
In the United Arab Emirates, L&T has been awarded a project that involves handling the entire process of building a substation, from engineering and supply to construction, installation, testing, and commissioning.

This also includes providing equipment like transformers and reactors, as well as systems for controlling and monitoring the substation.
In Kuwait, L&T secured a contract to establish overhead transmission lines, along with the necessary underground cable connections.
The transmission project spans a route of over 100 kilometers, and its purpose is to facilitate the efficient transfer and distribution of generated power.
Moreover, L&T has also clinched additional contracts as part of the ongoing substation projects in the same region, according to the company’s filing.
Larsen & Toubro, a massive Indian multinational, operates in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects, high-tech manufacturing, and various services. The company’s overall worth is around USD 23 billion.
