The bureaucratic circle is abuzz with speculation that Union Information and Broadcasting Secretary Sanjay Jaju (IAS: 1992: TG) could return to Telangana as the next Chief Secretary (CS).
The current CS, A. Shanthi Kumari (IAS: 1989: TG), is set to retire in April 2025.
Jaju, who has been on central deputation since 2014—barring a brief stint as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) at Telangana Bhawan in 2022—is reportedly keen to take on the role if given the opportunity.
However, he is among several contenders for the coveted position.
Other prominent names in the fray include Shashank Goel (IAS: 1990: TG), Arvind Kumar (IAS: 1991: TG), K. Rama Krishna Rao (IAS: 1991: TG), Vikas Raj (IAS: 1992: TG), and Jayesh Ranjan (IAS: 1992: TG).
HIs Earlier Roles Include:
