Hyderabad Police Enforce Strict Airspace Restrictions Around Parade Grounds for Public Safety
Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Hyderabad for a public meeting at Parade Grounds on May 10, 2026, Malkajgiri DCP have announced a strict Hyderabad Drone Ban across key areas surrounding the venue as part of heightened security arrangements.

According to police officials, flying of drones, paragliders, and remotely controlled microlight aircraft will be completely prohibited within the jurisdiction limits of:
- Begumpet
- Bowenpally
- Marredpally
The restrictions will remain in force from 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM on May 10, 2026.
Security Measures Intensified
The temporary Hyderabad Drone Ban has been imposed to ensure tight security during the Prime Minister’s public event, which is expected to witness a large gathering of supporters, political leaders, and members of the public.
Police officials stated that aerial objects such as drones and remote-controlled aircraft can pose security and surveillance risks during VVIP movements and large-scale public gatherings.
“Citizens are requested to cooperate with the police and strictly follow the restrictions imposed for public safety and security,” Hyderabad Police appealed in an official statement.
Public Advisory Issued
Authorities have warned that any violation of the Hyderabad Drone Ban could invite legal action under relevant security and aviation regulations.
Residents, drone operators, photography enthusiasts, and commercial drone service providers have been advised not to operate any unmanned aerial devices within the restricted zones during the notified period.
Additional security deployment, surveillance systems, traffic regulation, and crowd management arrangements are also expected around the Parade Grounds area as part of the overall security protocol for the Prime Minister’s visit.
The Hyderabad Drone Ban is part of standard precautionary measures typically enforced during high-profile VVIP visits and major public events in metropolitan cities
