He has been officially classified as a terrorist under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA).
Goldy, recognized as the right-hand accomplice of the notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, is suspected to be the mastermind behind the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala.

It should be recalled that in August 2022 the notorious Goldy Brar issued a serious threat on social media.
In his post, Goldy Brar issued a warning to the DGP (Director General of Police), Punjab Police, and the State Jails Minister Harjot Bains.
He claimed that their associates in Bathinda Jail, Saraj Sandhu, Bobby Malhotra, and Jagroshan Hundal, are facing issues.
Goldy Brar demanded action against the Deputy Superintendent of Jail and hinted at potential consequences if no action is taken.
He tweeted not to push them into committing more serious crimes. In his post, he called on DGP Gaurav Yadav and Jails Minister Harjot Bains to fulfill their duties.
Brar mentioned that if justice had been served in Vicky Middukhera and Sandeep Nangal Ambia’s cases, they wouldn’t have resorted to the killing of Sidhu Moosewala.
Goldy Brar tagged Harjot Bains and demanded the relocation of inmates to another jail.
In response, Jails Minister Harjot Bains dismissed the allegations, stating that gangsters were upset over the lack of illegal facilities.
He warned that such actions by the police might lead them to commit more significant crimes. Bains also tagged the DGP, emphasizing that justice in the Sandeep Ambian case could have prevented Moosewala’s murder.
The Punjab Police asserts that Goldy Brar, based in Canada, orchestrated Moosewala’s murder on Lawrence Bishnoi’s orders as revenge for Vicky Middukhera’s killing in Mohali.
