like they have distributed National Flags, this Ganesh Chaturthi festival that is vincinal, agencies working under Telangana Government such as Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) and Telangana State Pollution Control Board (TSPCB) have decided to distribute approximately 6 Lakh eco friendly Ganesha idols in Hyderabad.
Under this plan, the GHMC would dole out FOUR LAKH clay idols while HMDA and the TSPCB will jointly allot apportion ONE LAKH idols each.
Further, more 25 artificial ponds for immersion to the existing 25 artificial ponds would be arranged for the smooth idol immersion.
The decision has been taken on Tuesday, after the states high level meeting pertaining to the environmental conservation measures, by Minister for Animal Husbandry T Srinivas Yadav with regard to Ganesh Chaturthi festival arrangements.
The officials also discussed on arrangement of cranes, exclusive illumination, sanitation and hygiene works to control vector-borne diseases.
Eventually, the minister urged the concerned officials to work on restoration and patchwork of roads en route idol immersion.
