As per the local reporter, Praveen and his armed security personnel arrived at the Simhavahini Mahankali temple in Lal Darwaza for an afternoon prayer session.
Police officers on duty noticed these individuals, clad in ‘safari’ attire, and carrying weaponry. Upon realizing that the men were private security guards, officers detained them and moved them to the police station.
Chatrinaka inspector, Amboth Bhojya made a statement, “We’re in the process of verifying their documents. This includes their weapon licenses and permissions.”
On the other hand, Chikoti Praveen has reacted to this incident. The authorities purportedly detained his personal security staff in a fit of zealotry, he said.
He manifested frustration towards law enforcement for physically assaulting his guard and removing him from the premises without first verifying the legitimacy of his personal staff’s firearm permit.
He asserted that they’re engaging in partisan actions targeted against him. He further stated, all are aware of his personal armed security personnel involved in this issue.
However, he expressed uncertainty about the reasons behind the police’s unusual behavior today. Chikoti Praveen emphasized his intention to raise this issue with the senior police authorities.
It’s worth noting that, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has an open case of money laundering against Praveen.
The investigation is still active. Moreover, Praveen was recently apprehended at an illegal casino facility in Thailand, and consequently extradited to India by local authorities.
