According to eyewitnesses, and the video Naresh was traveling in a police vehicle with protection in hanumakonda, However the devotees intercepted the Police Van and barged into the van and Thrashed Bairi Naresh.

It is also a point to note that Bairi Naresh, who had made derogatory comments about Hindu gods, was made to run and beaten badly after which he has been arrested and detained in cherlapally jail.

Despite being on bail, the notorious Naresh remained under the scanner of law enforcement authorities. Recently, he was arrested by the Kodangal police along with Ambedkar Jatara program organizer Dolu Hanumantu.

However again, Bairi Naresh was granted conditional bail:

• The Kodangal court had granted him conditional bail after he spent around 45 days in jail.
• Naresh had been charged for making inappropriate comments about Ayyappa Swamy, which had sparked protests from Ayyappa Swamy devotees and Hindu communities in the Telugu states.
• Numerous cases have been filed against Naresh in various police stations throughout the state.

Despite all this, Bairi Naresh continued to make irresponsible and derogatory comments about Hindus like keeping ponytails by brahmins is a joke and sin, and commented on gods yet again in a recent TV9 interview.
