Khajuraho Flight Training Schools Promises Direct Flight to Varanasi

The inauguration of three additional Flight Training Organizations (FTOs) in Khajuraho will increase the total number of FTOs in Madhya Pradesh to six. This includes three FTOs in Khajuraho, with one each in Indore, Sagar, and Guna.
The inauguration of three more Flight Training Organisations (FTOs) in Khajuraho will bring the total tally of FTOs in Madhya Pradesh to six.
This count includes three in Khajuraho, one each in Indore, Sagar, and Guna. These six FTOs are set to augment the state’s capability to significantly contribute to the aviation industry by producing competent pilots.
In related news, Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia has announced the forthcoming initiation of wide body aircraft operations between Khajuraho and Varanasi.
Over the past nine years, the aviation sector has experienced remarkable growth with the development of 148 airports, including nine heliports and two water aerodromes.
The Minister added that this figure is projected to increase to 200 within the next four years. He further highlighted that the aircraft fleet expanded by 75%, rising from 400 airplanes in 2013 to 700 currently.
As part of their ongoing commitments, he stated that they plan to boost this figure to somewhere between 1200-1500 in the next 4 to 5 years.
In 2016, the total number of flight training schools was a mere 28. However, the count has now risen to 57.
Furthermore, DGCA issued as many as 1135 commercial pilot licenses in the previous year, setting an unprecedented record. The ongoing year has followed suit, and already 731 licenses have been distributed in a span of just five months.
Indian Flying Academy Overview
The Indian Flying Academy is a branch of Shaurya Flight Sim Pvt Ltd. The academy has been established at Khajuraho Airport as a part of the ‘Aatam Nirbhar Bharat’ initiative launched by the Prime Minister of India.
The academy has secured a fleet of five aircraft, of which four have already been transported to the academy. The fleet consists of three Single-Engine Aircraft: two Diamond DA 40s, one Evektor, and one Multi-Engine Aircraft – a Diamond DA 42.
In terms of capacity, the Indian Flying Academy can accommodate up to 40 students per training batch. The Flight Training Organization (FTO) plans to conduct two rounds of training each year.
FlyOla Aviation Academy (Jet Serve Aviation Pvt. Ltd.)- Helicopter FTO:
FlyOla Aviation Academy’s Helicopter FTO holds the distinction of being the first institution in Asia to provide Commercial Helicopter Pilot License (CHPL) training.
The academy boasts a pair of Robinson R44 helicopters in its inventory. The capacity for Flying Training at any one time is up to 20 students.
