Terror Plan Foiled
On Saturday night, police detained at least four people from different zones of Hyderabad city for interrogation, in connection with an alleged terror plan.
One Zahed of Moosarambagh, who was earlier acquitted in the Begumpet Task Force office bombing, was among those nabbed by police in the late-night raid.
Shahid Bilal, Zahed’s brother, was allegedly implicated in terror cases in the city and was supposedly shot dead in Pakistan.
- The raids were carried out in various localities in the east and south zones of Hyderabad.
- At least four persons were picked up for questioning.
- A case is registered against Zahed (39) for conspiring to attack a few leaders of a political party, police said.
As per the reports, the searches were made in many areas of the east and south zones jointly by Hyderabad police, CounterIntelligence Units, and armed reserve platoons.
Police are yet to ascertain whether Zahed and his group have any links with the recently banned outfit Popular Front Of India (PFI) as all the accused are in custody and the investigations are on.
