PFI aka Popular Front Of India – National Investigation Agency’s inspection is being conducted at the houses and offices of the Popular Front leaders.
It is to be noted that the NIA and ED initiated a large nationwide search for terrorist-supporting groups and individuals, including PFI.
These searches and arrests are being made against the persons involved in “FUNDING Terrorism, Organizing Training Camps And Radicalising People to join proscribed organization
In such operation both the agencies are doing inspections at the state committee office in Meenchanta, Kozhikode.
Inspections also conducted at 50 centers across the state including Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta, Thrissur and Malappuram.
OMA Salam, National Secretary Nasarudheen Elamaram, and Prof. P Koya, National Committee Member State President CP Muhammad Basheer was also detained.
OMA Salam was apprehended at his home in Manjeri, while National Nasruddin Elamarate was apprehended at his home in Vazhakkate.
Yahia Thangal, a member of the state committee, and PK Usman have also been held in Thrissur.
Also, the raids carried out at multiple locations in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and other states.
During the operations, the NIA seized incriminating items such as digital gadgets, documents, multiple daggers, and around ten lakhs in cash.
