India is set to host one of the most significant global technology gatherings of the decade—the India AI Impact Summit 2026, scheduled for 19–20 February 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

The Summit is being organized by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) under the IndiaAI Mission, marking a decisive step in India’s global AI leadership journey.
The Summit aims to reshape the global artificial intelligence discourse by shifting focus from policy frameworks to measurable, real-world outcomes.
It will convene heads of state, senior policymakers, global industry leaders, researchers, startups, and innovators to explore how AI can be responsibly deployed to drive inclusive economic growth, environmental sustainability, and equitable digital development.
A central objective of the Summit is to strengthen international cooperation—particularly among countries of the Global South—by enabling partnerships that translate cutting-edge AI innovation into tangible societal benefits.

Discussions will span governance models, ethical AI, scalable deployments, and cross-border collaboration frameworks.
Complementing the main event, the Research Symposium on AI and Its Impact will be held on 18 February 2026 at the same venue.
The India AI Impact Summit 2026 represents a global pivot—from conversations about AI policy to delivering AI outcomes that truly matter for people, societies, and the planet.”
The symposium will feature eminent researchers from India and across the Global South alongside global experts, showcasing frontier research on AI’s societal, economic, and ethical implications while fostering long-term research collaborations.

Running concurrently is the India AI Impact Expo 2026, scheduled from 16–20 February 2026 at Bharat Mandapam.
Designed as a large-scale experiential showcase, the Expo will span tens of thousands of square metres and host startups, enterprises, investors, policymakers, and global exhibitors.
Visitors will experience industry-ready AI solutions across multiple sectors through seven thematic zones, covering trusted AI systems, human capital development, inclusion, resilience, science, and democratized AI infrastructure.

In the lead-up to the Summit, India has already conducted multiple pre-summit engagements, including stakeholder consultations, regional technology and governance conferences, startup acceleration programs, and high-level international briefings to drive global participation.
Simultaneously, civic authorities in New Delhi have initiated extensive infrastructure upgrades and city beautification efforts to ensure a welcoming, secure, and world-class environment for international delegates.

As India takes center stage in shaping the future of artificial intelligence, the India AI Impact Summit 2026 and its accompanying Expo are expected to reinforce the country’s ambition to lead global efforts in responsible AI innovation, international cooperation, and inclusive technological progress.
