Ola’s Bhavish Aggarwal tweeted on X (formerly Twitter), revealing his upcoming digital venture, Krutrim AI.
In a video address, he extended an invitation to the unveiling of Krutrim AI, emphasizing its potential to empower 1.4 billion people with the capabilities of artificial intelligence.
‘Krutrim,’ meaning ‘artificial’ in Sanskrit, showcases exceptional proficiency in 20 Indian languages and the ability to generate content in 10, encompassing Hindi, Marathi, Telugu, Kannada, Odiya, and more.

In his address Bhavish said that the product is being positioned as “India’s first full-stack AI.”
Krutrim AI is asserted to be developed using indigenous Indian knowledge, languages, and data. Bhavish asserts that Krutrim stands as a homegrown solution, allowing Bharath to construct its own AI infrastructure rather than relying on Western products.
He extended an invitation in multiple languages, hinting at Krutrim’s proficiency in working with various regional languages.
The promotional video, crafted in English, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, and Marathi, emphasized the imminent launch of India’s own AI, Krutrim.
Aggarwal conveyed the transformative potential of Krutrim, stating, “We’re all set to transform industries and lives and put the power of AI in the hands of 1.4 billion people.”
He asserted that AI is poised to become a potent force for cultural assimilation. He emphasized the necessity for India to develop its own AI, citing that many widely-used large language models are predominantly trained on non-Indian data.
Aggarwal underscored the importance of training AI models in various “Bharatiya languages,” signaling a commitment to incorporating diverse linguistic and cultural nuances specific to the Indian context.
