TSRTC Unveils Green Metro Luxury Fleet: 50 State-of-the-Art Electric AC Buses For Hyderabad
The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) is all set to kick off its operations for a brand new fleet of air-conditioned electric metro luxury buses from December 15.
Commencing with the Secunderabad-Patancheru route, this refreshing debut will showcase eight ‘Green Metro Luxury’ buses. In an announcement made on social media, TSRTC Managing Director VC Sajjanar shared the exciting news, revealing the specific details of the route, and stating, “We have great news for all the travelers! Electric Metro AC buses will now be operational on the Secunderabad-Patancheru route starting this Friday.”
A convenient option for travelers on route number 219 is the AC metro bus, which will be operating every 24 minutes. This bus will travel through several destinations including Paradise, Boinpally, Balanagar, and Kukatpally before reaching Patancheru.
Upon reaching Patancheru, the bus will return to Secunderabad along the same route. TSRTC strongly encourages all commuters traveling on this route to make use of this newly introduced feature. Sajjanar has posted this information on X (twitter).

It must be recalled that in September, the corporation ( TSRTC ) had announced its plans to introduce a fleet of 50 ‘Green Metro Luxury’ fully air-conditioned electric buses on Hyderabad’s roads.
The 12-meter-long luxury AC buses come equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, underscoring the commitment to providing passengers with high-quality services. Featuring a seating capacity of 35, these buses offer amenities such as mobile charging facilities and reading lamps for the convenience of commuters.
Ensuring passenger safety, each seat is equipped with a panic button, and a vehicle tracking system connects directly to the TSRTC control room. The incorporation of these advanced features reflects the corporation’s dedication to enhancing the overall commuting experience, said TSRTC MD, VC Sajjanar.
