The Village Bus Officers, recently appointed to bring the public transport system closer to citizens, have commenced their efforts in rural areas through various awareness programs and RTC performances.
As per the officials, their primary objective is to raise awareness among the public about the T-9, T-24, T-6, and F-24 ticket offers, which aim to increase the occupancy rate in these areas.
The teams are visiting villages and utilizing traditional instruments like ‘Dappu’ and other public address systems to make announcements.
An official stated that the village bus officers have achieved success in encouraging people to use buses and spreading awareness about the passenger-friendly initiatives implemented for their convenience.
