The Telangana government has officially reorganized the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation into three distinct bodies, with new commissioners taking charge of the Cyberabad and Malkajgiri corporations.
The orders for this administrative overhaul were issued in the early hours of Wednesday, leading to the immediate appointment of top officials to lead the new entities.
Following the issuance of the orders, Jayesh Ranjan assumed charge as the special officer overseeing all three municipal corporations. The reorganization has led to the creation of the Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation and the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation, while the original GHMC continues its operations.

To ensure a smooth transition, designated commissioners for each body took charge of their respective offices on Wednesday:
- GHMC: RV Karnan continues as the Commissioner for the GHMC and will operate from the existing head office located at Tank Bund.

- Cyberabad Municipal Corporation: G. Srijana has assumed charge as commissioner. This new corporation is headquartered at the National Academy of Construction (NAC) premises in Gachibowli.
- Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation: T. Vinay Krishna Reddy has taken charge as commissioner, with the corporation operating out of the HMDA premises in Tarnaka.
