The schedule for the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2023 has been announced, with the first match featuring Gujarat and Mumbai facing off against each other.
The tournament will feature a total of four double headers.
Starting on March 4th and concluding on March 26th, the tournament will consist of five teams playing a total of 22 matches. All matches will take place at two stadiums located in Mumbai: DY Patil and Brabourne respectively.
The BCCI has released the schedule for the inaugural edition of the Women’s Premier League, which will take place from March 4th to March 26th.
5 teams will compete in a total of 22 matches, all of which will be held at DY Patil and Brabourne stadiums in Mumbai, with 11 matches being played at each venue.
Over the course of 23 days, the league round will consist of 20 matches, with one eliminator and a final to follow. The tournament will commence with a match between Gujarat Giants and Mumbai Indians at DY Patil Stadium on March 4th.
In addition, four double headers will be played during the league round, meaning that two matches will take place in a single day. The first match of the day will start at 3.30 pm, followed by the second match at 7.30 pm.
The league stage will conclude on March 21st with a match between UP Warriors and Delhi Capitals.
The eliminator will take place on March 24th at DY Patil Stadium, with the final being held at Brabourne Stadium on March 26th.
