Rashmi Shukla IPS – NEW DGP Maharastra
Rashmi Shukla, an IPS officer from the 1998 batch in Maharashtra, has been appointed as the new Director General of Police for the state.
Before assuming this role, she served as the Director General of Sashastra Seema Bal and held the position of Additional Director General in the Central Reserve Police Force.
Rashmi Shukla’s extensive professional history within Maharashtra includes serving as the Pune police commissioner and heading the state intelligence wing.
The decision to appoint Shukla as the Director General of Police took more than three months to finalize, following the Bombay High Court’s dismissal of two phone-tapping cases that had been registered against her.
