Government of India, Ministry of information and broadcasting, Digital Media Division has given PUBLIC NOTICE on 26th May 2021 with regard to the subject of furnishing of information by digital media publishers under Rule 18 of the information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Codes) Rules, 2021
The circular issued called it mandatory for all the WebSite Owners/Publishers to bring all the authorized online news reporting portals/agencies under Digital Media.
All the news publishers operating News Channels, will have to furnish their details like registration and information about their online publications category along with learned grievance redressal officer details etc.
