The event, held at the Bajaj Electronics Showroom in Tolichowki, aimed to equip citizens with the knowledge necessary to navigate an increasingly dangerous digital landscape.
The session was led by Sri. V. Aravind Babu, DCP of the Cybercrime Unit for Hyderabad City, along with several other police officials.

The program focused on educating the public about the evolving tactics used by digital fraudsters, specifically highlighting the rise of online financial scams, phishing, and impersonation fraud.
During his address, DCP Aravind Babu emphasized the importance of identifying suspicious activities before they lead to financial loss.

He provided practical guidance on protecting personal information and stressed that awareness is the first line of defense against OTP frauds and fake social media profiles.
Critical Safety Guidelines Issued: police officials outlined several high-priority precautions that residents should adopt immediately:
- Avoid Unknown Software: Do not download unsolicited APK files or remote access applications.
- Protect Sensitive Data: Never share bank details, PINs, OTPs, or passwords with anyone.
- Verify Offers: Always double-check the authenticity of job or loan advertisements before responding.
- Avoid “Mule” Accounts: Citizens were warned never to give their bank accounts to others for money or any other reason, as these “mule accounts” are primary tools used by cybercriminals to funnel stolen funds.
