Hyderabad Metro Phase-2 Charts a Futuristic Urban Journey
During the Hyderabad Metro Phase-2 expansion, the metro rail network will connect Secunderabad Jubilee Bus Station to MGBS and further stretch to Chandrayangutta Cross Road.
This expansion aims to enhance the reach and connectivity of the metro rail network, catering to the transportation needs of a broader segment of the population.
This comes as a change from the route initially planned by the previous BRS government. The finalized route map was announced on Monday, marking a significant development in the ongoing metro rail project.

As per the reports, recognizing the escalating traffic issues in the city, Telangana CM Revanth Reddy has instructed officials to fast-track the Metro expansion project.
The proposed new Metro rail routes are designed to link the Airport with all corners of Hyderabad, ensuring that Metro services are readily available to a larger segment of the commuting population.
At present, the Hyderabad Metro Rail operates along a 69 km stretch across three corridors, connecting Miyapur to LB Nagar, JBS station to MGBS, and Nagole to Rayadurg.
The envisioned expansion aims to cater to the city’s mounting transportation demands, providing improved connectivity and accessibility for a significant number of residents.
As part of the phase-2 expansion, the Metro rail network stretching from Secunderabad Jubilee Bus Station to MGBS will undergo extension, reaching up to Chandrayangutta Cross Road.
This expansion is set to enhance the reach and connectivity of the Metro network in the city.
