Rams Pharmaceuticals, which appeared to be a genuine company in Moosapet, is now revealed to have been involved in secretly making fake anti-ulcer medications.

A group led by K. Ranjith Kumar, Mada Pavan, and Shaik Subhani, pretending to be from a pharmaceutical company in Punjab, boldly operated without the necessary legal permits.

What’s even more shocking is that Rams Pharmaceuticals, posing as a health supplement maker, was secretly making fake drugs. People who thought they were buying legit products were actually putting their health at risk.

Acting on a tip, officials from the Drugs Control Administration (DCA) raided Rams Pharmaceuticals’ place in Moosapet.

They found machines working without proper permits, fake labels, and a stash of fake drugs, showing how deep the deception went.

A spokesperson for the Telangana Drugs Control Administration said, “This shows how some dishonest groups exploit the pharmaceutical industry.

Making medicines without permission is a big danger to everyone, and we’re determined to stop these operations.

The investigation found that Rams Pharmaceuticals didn’t have the right paperwork and went to great lengths to hide their true identity.

Pretending to be a legit food supplement maker made it even trickier to uncover their illegal activities.

Now, officials are checking the seized fake drugs to see how much harm they could cause.

What the Officials Found in Counterfeit Drug Operation

• Based on reliable information, officials from the Drugs Control Administration in the Medchal zone conducted an unannounced raid at Rams Pharmaceuticals.
• The inspection uncovered the illicit production of anti-ulcer medications, specifically a drug named Essom-RD, as indicated by the label foils and packaging materials referencing QP Phermachem.
• The stereos used for printing batch details on medicine labels and related documents were also found on-site.

Further investigation revealed that Shaik Subhani, the production operator at Rams Pharmaceuticals, confessed to manufacturing counterfeit medicines under the instructions of Ranjith Kumar, the husband of G. Sravanthi, the proprietor of the company.

Subhani disclosed that the spurious drugs were supplied to Biomedic Pharmaceuticals in Nizamabad through Jaypee Daily Parcel Services.

Promptly, officials from the Drugs Control Administration in Medchal informed their counterparts in Nizamabad district.

Acting on this information, the DCA officers in Nizamabad conducted a raid at Biomedic Pharmaceuticals, seizing 29,600 capsules of the counterfeit drug Essom-RD valued at Rs 6 lakh, according to a press release by V.B. Kamalasan Reddy, Director General of DCA.

Simultaneously, the raid at Nizamabad involved P. Sarala (Deputy Director), N. Narsaiah (Assistant Director), and Drugs Inspectors V. Srikanth and R. Srilatha.
