Smt Draupadi Murmu, the President of India underwent cataract surgery yesterday (October 16, 2022) at the Army Hospital (Referral & Research), New Delhi.
Speaking to the media, the Official SpokePerson of Rasthrapathi Bhavan informed that the surgery was successful and she has been discharged from the Hospital.
Complaint of cataract in the left eye: It was told by the Army Hospital that President Murmu was admitted to the Army Hospital Research and Referral, Delhi Cantt at 11:30 am on Sunday.

She had a cataract in her left eye, whose surgery was performed by Brigadier SK Mishra and his team.
Later she was discharged from the hospital at 1:30 pm.
Army Hospital doctors advised the President to rest for a week.
