These discussions follow prior meetings with leaders from Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Telangana.
The deliberations reflect the party’s meticulous planning and focus on candidate selection as they gear up for the electoral challenges ahead.
According to reliable party sources, the forthcoming initial list of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections is anticipated to feature prominent figures such as Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Mr. Amit Shah.
This list is expected to encompass constituencies that the BJP had lost in the 2019 general elections, showcasing the party’s strategic approach.
Notably, the inclusion of Mr. Modi and Mr. Shah in the first list echoes the pattern observed in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, where both leaders featured prominently as candidates.
In a departure from the previous election cycle, the BJP aims to unveil its candidate list before the formal announcement of the election schedule, aligning with the approach employed during the recent Assembly polls in five states.

In a proactive move, the BJP has also petitioned the Election Commission, urging the electoral body to record the voting process via video at all polling stations during the upcoming elections.
The party has additionally proposed the establishment of booths within complexes housing high-rise buildings.
In a memorandum submitted to the Election Commission, the BJP has advocated for expediting the approval process for political parties’ media content to facilitate better campaign planning.
The party has also sought clarity on rules pertaining to the display of flags and wall paintings by party workers at their residences during the election period.
A delegation from the BJP, led by Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Party National General Secretary Arun Singh, presented these requests to the Election Commission.
Mr. Vaishnaw emphasized the importance of setting up booths in urban high-rise complexes to maximize voter participation and called for 100% videography coverage at polling booths to enhance transparency and trust in the democratic process.
The delegation also urged expedited approval processes for political parties’ media content, allowing them ample time to shape their campaign strategies.
