AIPR – Annual Immovable Property Returns
IAS officers are urged to file by January 31 if they haven’t already and have a vigilance clearance.
The deadline for filing Annual Immovable Property Returns (AIPRs) online is January 31, 2023, for Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers working in the UT of J&K and elsewhere.
The government officers and officials must provide the Immovable Property Return (IPR) in accordance with Rule 18(1) of the CCS (Conduct) Rules, 1964.

As per the Department of Personnel Training (DoPT), those who don’t comply within the allotted time will be subject to disciplinary action.
Since there is no provision for manual submission of IPR, the IAS officers are asked to submit IPR electronically.
This gains significance in light of the ACC’s last week rejection of the appointment of two senior Railways officials to board-level positions.
It should be noted that Ms. Anjali Goyal (IRAS:1985) and Ms. Jaya Varma Sinha (IRTS:1986) paid a price for the tardy submission of the Annual IPR, which led to ACC’s denial of vigilance clearance (ACC order dated 17.12.2022) and the postponement of the investigation.
