The delphic tweet on twitter by Munawar Faruqui took another turn on Hyderabadis, which also expressed their pain amid protests and communal tensions that led after his show in Hyderabad’s Shilpa Kala Vedika.
Both new and old areas had to see unrest, arrests and lots of turmoil in the city.
What was more bothering amid all, is Munawar Faruqui’s silence. Many citizens had tweeted to call out the comedian and urged him to speak up on the present political atmosphere of the city.

It is obvious that his cryptic tweet has further upset his followers who expected a strong reaction from him. Many muslims criticized him and many went as far as asking him not to come to Hyderabad City again.

Adding fuel to the fire, Munawar Faruqui wrote the same couplet on his official Instagram handle where he drew condemnation here as well
The row that erupted after, despite attempts from Telangana’s BJP groups to cancel the show, Munawar Faruqui successfully culminated the show. In retaliation, the very next day BJP MLA Raja Singh created a ‘comic’ video on Jai Shree Ram Youtube Channel in which he quoted offensive comments against Muslims and Prophet Muhammad.
Raja Singh defended saying The video was in ‘retaliation’ to Munawar Faruqui who allegedly hurt Hindu sentiments. Currently, he is arrested under PD act.
