A dynamic user interaction dashboard for industry for logistics-related challenges.
Logistics Division, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has launched a user-interactive dashboard.
Logistics Division aims to address the technology, services, and human resource related aspects of logistics efficiency in the country.
The dashboard is expected to be launched for all authorized associations in the sector soon.
A new digital initiative of the Logistics Division, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) is creating a user-interactive dashboard, which would now allow authorized user to log-in and interact the issues pertaining to logistics.
It is being seen as a novel initiative that will not only allow the division to address issues related to one Ministry/Department but also multiple ministries/departments.
For this to achieve, a user demonstration of the system was organized that witnessed the participation of all major industry associations associated with logistics services in India.
The initiative is expected to help in the identification of procedural issues that lead to lower efficiency in logistics and higher logistics costs. This was followed by a detailed demonstration on the dashboard.
The senior officers of all industry associations present for the demonstration, lauded the effort as a much-needed instrument that would cut the communication gap between commerce and the agencies.
The user interaction dashboard is one of numerous efforts being developed by the Logistics Division, DPIIT, to address the country’s logistics efficiency in terms of technology, services, and human resources.
The dashboard is scheduled to be made available soon to all eligible agencies in the field.
A mechanism such as the Network Planning Group (NPG) under PM GatiShakti is also under consideration. Such endeavours are expected to boost efficiency in India’s logistics sector.
