Kushaiguda – In a proactive effort to promote safety, gender sensitization, and community awareness, the Kushaiguda division under the banner of SheTeams organized an impactful awareness program at SR Digi School, Neredmet.

The event aimed to educate students on crucial topics such as SheTeams, appropriate and inappropriate touching, child abuse prevention, child marriages, gender sensitization, and various other aspects of personal and digital safety.
One of the key highlights of the event was the discussion on good touch and bad touch, aimed at equipping children with the knowledge to differentiate between appropriate and inappropriate physical contact.
The SheTeams members, with their expertise in the field, sensitively addressed the subject, empowering the students to speak up against any form of discomfort they might encounter.
It should be noted that this month on August 5th, the parents of an 8th grade girl student at Attapur’s SR Digi School caused an uproar after discovering that their daughter was being harassed by a physical education teacher.
This teacher, named Vishnu, not only reportedly harassed the girl at school, but also contacted her at unconventional hours.
On Saturday, the furious parents and some relatives damaged furniture and computer facilities in the school as a form of protest. Additionally, they assaulted the school principal and other faculty members.
Following the incident, the parents contacted the local police reporting Vishnu’s misconduct.
Student representatives also gathered at the school, expressing their apprehension about female students’ safety.
They criticized school management’s approach toward safety, stating that the focus seemed to be more on fee collection rather than ensuring student welfare.
