A BMW car owner along with his friends died after he rammed into the container at a speed of 230 Kms.
Before the accident, the group went on live stream on Facebook with the camera fixed on the speedometer, which read 230 km/h.

As per the senior police official, 4 people were killed on spot on the Purvanchal Expressway in the Sultanpur district of Uttar Pradesh after their BMW car collided with a container truck.
The accident occurred on Friday, October 14. Just minutes before the crash, one of the friends in the car went live on Facebook with the camera fixed on the speedometer. A man can also be heard on camera saying, “all four will die,” in a viral video.
BMW traveling from Sultanpur was struck by a container traveling in the opposite direction on the expressway under the Haliapur police station area.
Police and officials from the UP Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) rushed to the scene.
District Magistrate Ravish Kumar and SP Somen Burma arrived on the scene quickly and directed the SDM (Sub Divisional Magistrate) to take the appropriate action.
The deceased were identified as Anand Prakash (35), resident of Dehri, Bihar, Akhilesh Singh (35), and Deepak Kumar (37), both from Aurangabad, Bihar while efforts were on to identify the 4th deceased, the DM said.
Purvanchal Expressway
- It connects Lucknow to Ghazipur district in eastern Uttar Pradesh.
- It was inaugurated by PM Modi in November 2021.
Earlier, a car got stuck in a 5 ft deep and 15 ft wide pothole on the expressway after heavy rains.
