EX BVFCL Chief Assumes Key Role as Managing Director at Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited
Dr. Siba Prasad Mohanty has officially taken on the role of full-time Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) at Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited (HURL).
Before this, he resigned from his position as Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited (BVFCL) and also held the additional responsibility of MD at HURL.
BVFCL officially announced on December 29, 2023, that Dr. Siba Prasad Mohanty, who served as the Chairman and Managing Director of Brahmaputra Valley Corporation Limited (BVFCL), has resigned from his position.
Dr. Mohanty has been in the position of CMD at BVFCL since October 1, 2021.
Before joining BVFCL, he served as CMD of HIL (India) Limited. Holding an MBA from Berhampur University, Odisha, Dr. Mohanty completed an Executive Development Programme from IIM Lucknow and an Advanced Management Programme from IIM Kolkata.
With over 27 years of diverse experience, primarily in the Marketing of Agri Inputs, he has worked in Rashtriya Chemical & Fertilizers Ltd (RCF), Mumbai, in various capacities from 1989 to 2015.
Notably, Dr. Mohanty received the “Marketing Man of the Year” award in 1995 and the “Best Employee” Award in 2012 at RCF.
During his chairmanship, Hindustan Insecticides Limited earned several prestigious awards from institutions such as Bureaucracy Today (CSR Excellence Award), Times Ascent (Innovative HR practices), and The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), among others.
